Q: Why Hair?

A: I’ve just always loved it! From elementary school to college I was always the friend who helped everyone do their hair and get ready, so why not make it a career?

Q: What’s your approach when you first meet a new client?

A: Understanding what their end goal is and being realistic about the route to get there! I always want to give you the look you want, but I never want to compromise the quality of your hair in doing so!

Q: What questions do you ask?

A: What’s your goal? How often do you want to be in the salon for maintenance? What is your lifestyle like? (i.e. - working out/wearing hair up daily, swimmer, do you do your hair every day), do you want to talk about pricing? What are you liking about your hair right now? What are you not liking? I always want to make sure we are on the same page!

Q: What’s the most fun part of your job?

A: Feeling like it’s not a job! I get to make people feel beautiful while having fun with my coworkers and clients.

Q: Most Challenging?

A: Not being able to please everyone

Q: What do you love most about being a stylist?

A: That hair is its own version of art! You are able to enhance or transform someone’s look.

Q: Who is your style icon?

A: Love her or hate her, Kim Kardashian

Q: What inspires you as a hairstylist?

A: My coworkers are definitely number one. Second would be fashion and social media and seeing the ever-changing trends and talent in this industry.

Q: You’re originally from?

A: Southborough, Massachusetts

Q: What attracted you to Charleston?

A: I originally came here to attend the College of Charleston actually. However, after I graduated I realized I was not in love with the path I was on, so I went back to Cosmetology School!
